How to lock photos on iPhone – Guide
We know you can hide photos on your iPhone. But for an added layer of security, you can also lock photos using the Notes app. The app offers the ability to lock your notes. Add to that the ability to transfer photos to a note and voilà! You can lock your photos in Notes.
Use the steps below to see how
- Open your Notes app
- Create a new note
- Tap the camera icon above keyboard
- Tap “Choose photo or video”
- Select the photos/videos you want to block and tap “Add”
- Tap the three dot icon in the upper right corner of your Note
- Tap “Block”
- You will be asked to create a password for your Note. Then you’ll type again to verify it, and you can also add a tip if you like. ** Depending on your iPhone model, you can also use Face ID or Touch ID
- Tap the lock icon in the upper right corner until it shows a closed lock to lock your note
- Now you will have to tap “View note” and enter your password to see what is in the note. So any photos/videos you put there are now locked
- When you are finished reading your note, be sure to lock it again by tapping the open lock icon at the top until it closes. If you want to leave it unlocked for now, leave the lock icon open as is
