In case you haven’t seen it yet, Nitra is the red ore on the walls. It looks similar to red candy health crystals, but is found in wall veins rather than stalagmite formations. You can confirm the ore type by pulling out your laser pointer by pressing CTRL and then simply mining it with your pickaxe by right clicking. If you can’t reach a Nitra vein, have the engineer create a platform or dig your own tunnel to the top. You need to put 80 Nitra on the MULE before calling an ammo drop, which means most of your team needs to be mining since a character can’t carry that much at once.

Deep Rock Galactic Supply Drops

The supply drop works exactly as it sounds. When a player calls for a supply drop, a resupply pod pierces from above and lands at the player’s assigned spot. Anything under the capsule when it falls, whether a player or enemy, takes damage.

The cost of supply drops

Supply deliveries are not free. Any player can summon one, but must spend 80 Nitra to do so. Nitra are red crystals that players can find in caves and are mostly used for ammo. Deep Rock Galactic’s gunner is best suited to collect it. Once these preconditions are met, the player is ready to summon a resupply pod. All they have to do is press 5 on the keyboard or double tap the gamepad d-pad, and they will equip the resupply tool. From there, they choose a flat, open surface, and the refueling beacon will appear, the pod following the suite a short time later. It doesn’t matter which character mines Nitra. Anyone can call in a resupply pod when the team’s collective Nitra is high enough. That said, players should make sure there isn’t something more important their character class can do before dedicating time and resources to calling it.
